
Rex Henriques - Director
|
Graduated from the College of
Performing Arts (now The University of the Arts) with a B.F.A. in Ballet. After
graduating top in his class, he traveled throughout South America, Mexico, and
the US as a professional performer. Some of his credits include cruise ships,
Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and New York. Rex is currently a professor of dance
at The University of the Arts Musical Theatre Department. In 1998, Rex turned
his energy toward his first love, teaching, creating the "Henriques Program",
allowing students the opportunity to reach their full potential. Rex also
choreographs for professional theatre and locally for the Bensalem High School
musicals.

Lorelei Lee - Director
|
Coming from a show business
family, her performing career has taken her all over the world appearing as a
lead adagio dancer in the major showrooms of Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Lake
Tahoe, Manila, and South America. She appeared in Larry Gatlin's "Alive and
Well", "Chicago", and"My One and Only" at the Bristol Riverside
Theatre. She also appeared in "Carousel", "Showboat", "Music Man", "Funny Thing
Happened On The Way to the Forum", King and I", "Guys and Dolls", and "Pippin",
to name a few. As a professional theatre choreographer, her credits
include "Annie Get Your Gun", "Mame", "Gypsy", "Man of La Mancha",
and "Most Happy Fella". Locally, at the Bucks
County Playhouse, "She Loves Me", "Gypsy", "Jekyll & Hyde", "Wonderful
Life", and "King and I". Other credits include numerous
industrial shows for Mobil, Sony, Bombay Liquor, U.S. Healthcare, as well as
many corporate events. She has been teaching all aspects of dance for the past
19 years. Lorelei is also the creator of the "Easy Steppers", about 25 senior
citizens who perform locally and on TV.

Michelle David - Hip-Hop
|
Michelle has studied dance her
whole life. She went on to the High School of Performing Arts, University of
the Performing Arts. Both majoring in dance. She has performed with the Freedom
Theatre, DisneyWorld dancer ,and dancer on tour with NSync. to name a few. She
danced in the Thanksgiving Day parade for years. She is currently a dancer with
the "76ers" dance team.

Valerie - Tap
|
Valerie is a highly
energetic, motivated dancer and teacher. She trained locally and at New York's
prestigious Broadway Dance Center becoming a highly awarded dancer on the dance
competition circuit. She began her professional dancing career after being
awarded an intense 6-month dance internship at the Broadway Dance Center taking
classes in all dance forms. She has studied dance with: Frank Hatchett (Jazz),
Mike Minery (Tap), Kat Wildish (Ballet), Rhapsody James (Hip Hop), Phil Black
(Tap/Jazz), Sheila Baker (Jazz), Chuck Kelley (Tap) and Brenda Buffalino (Tap).
She also had brief training with the late Gregory Hines and has also studied
under respected tapper Germain Salsberg…Valerie assisted, co-taught and
substituted for Germain at the Broadway Dance Center. In 2001, Valerie
Performed in the "Astaire Awards" at the Hudson Theater, NYC under the
direction of Tony Award winning dancer Scott Wise and in 2002, became a member
of the "76 ers" Dance Team in Philadelphia. Currently, Valerie is a dancer and
choreographer at the prestigious "MIXX Club" located in the Borgata Resort in
Atlantic City. Valerie has been teaching dance since she was a young teenager.

Gia - Ballet |
Gia has been dancing for over 20 years and has been with the Bucks County Dance Center for over 17
years and is proud to be a member of the staff. She attended the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and
Performing Arts and has toured all over the area as a part of the Company. She has also danced at all of the
Villanova Wildcat sporting events and other events on and off the campus with their Dance Ensemble.
She also works with Jane Kirby Harris, as a model, choreographer, and dancer in her fashion shows around the tri-state area. Gia holds a BS in Computer Engineering
and her Masters in Business Administration, but dancing will always be her number one love. She has been teaching jazz, lyrical, and ballet since she was a young teenager.

Rachel Grisi - Ballet, Pointe
|
Rachel started her training in
Bucks County with Carol Willson before attending The Princeton Ballet School as
an Audrey Estee scholar. She has studied at Joffrey Ballet School, Alvin Ailey,
Steps on Broadway, and Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance all on
scholarship. While in New York Rachel was a member of The Martha Graham Dance
Ensemble and worked with freelance choreographers Pearl Lang, Lonne Morreton,
Kathy Sullivan, and Geoffrey Doig-Marx. Miss Grisi teaches ages 5-adult ballet,
pointe, modern, and ballroom. She currently is a member of The Roxey Ballet
Company and runs her own summer dance festival in Bucks County, The Nest.

Tracy Drew Kelsey - Creative, Ballet/Tap
|
Tracy Drew Kelsey has her BFA in jazz dance from the University of the Arts. She has performed with Zakarak Production Company for two years and is currently working on another project. She has taught at several schools in the Philadelphia area as well as with the Performing Arts Program in Central Connecticut. Tracy is also working on "On the Move"; a program to introduce dance to daycare centers near you. Tracy is so excited to be back for another year at the Bucks County Dance Center.

Tim Craskey - Theatre Dance
|
Tim is coming off a tour of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" after
spending the past 12 years on Broadway as a dancer and Dance Captain. Tim will
be bringing original choreography from Broadway shows to our dancers. We are
very excited to add Tim to our teaching staff.

Erin Carins - Modern
|
Erin has come to us with "glowing" references. She will be teaching Modern dance. Erin attended Muhlenberg College where she graduated with a BA in Dance. She has attended the American Dance and Tiffany Mills Company as a scholarship recipient. She has recently performed in New York with Odonata Dance Project. Erin is currently working towards her Masters Degree in Choreography and Performance. She is very eager to get the students at the BCDC excited about Modern Dance.

Sharon Rudda - Ballet
|
Trained under Trinette Singleton at Bravo! Dance in WIlke Barre, PA. Sharon has a BA in Performing Arts / Dance from LA Roche College in Pittsburg. She has danced with Joffrey Ballet, Channel Island Ballet, Johnson Ballet, and Buffalo Ballet. Presently, she can be seen dancing at the Bucks Playhouse in New Hope. Sharon teaches at Mill Ballet School (also known as Roxy Ballet). She has taught for Roseland Performing Arts, Maywood University, Repertory Dance Theatre and Matheny School for Disabled Dancers. Sharon has come highly recommended by our Ballet Mistress, Rachel Grisi who says, "She is a stickler for proper, detailed technique and body placement."

Sandy Henriques - Creative Dance, Kids' Music Round
|
Sandy has been teaching creative movement to
children for 10 years. She has recently completed the Kids’ Music Round
intensive teacher training course in early childhood music education for
interactive parent/child classes. As a trained vocalist and dancer, Sandy has
performed locally and professionally in various theaters and venues. Currently
she is a full time mom who has always made music at home with her children an
everyday event. Sandy is thrilled to be able to bring Kids’ Music Round to the
community to assist and encourage other families to bring music into their
everyday lives too!

Arielle Henriques - Tap, Jazz
|
Dancing since the age of 5, Arielle has grown to become a high-spirited, energetic jazz and tap teacher. She enjoys working with young children and is always coming up with new, fun and creative ways to teach. She has recently attended the University of the Arts summer dance intensive where she trained in jazz, tap, ballet and modern. She also took part in the Radio City Rockettes summer intensive where she trained with the world famous Rockettes. Her main goal in teaching is to make the kids smile, laugh and most of all, have fun.
