Kids' Music Round - 10 weeks (start date 9/8/08) - Kids' Music Round is a fun music program for children ages birth-4 and their parent or caregiver. We sing, play musical instruments, dance, and have lot's of fun! 2 CD's and a songbook included. www.kidsmusicround.com

Creative Studio Art Classes - 6 weeks (start date 9/19/08) - These wonderful Art classes will bring out the little artist in everyone through creative play and exploration. Being creative opens children's eyes and gives them the opportunity to explore their imagination at their own pace.

Toddler Yoga - 10 weeks (start date 9/11/08) - Partner with your toddler in simple animated poses! Use games, art, music and breathing exercises to help strengthen coordination and build body awareness. Bark in downward dog, hiss in cobra pose, flutter our wings in butterfly, and take a yoga journey that your child will never forget!

Kids' MusicRoundŽ believes that all children are born with musical ability or talents. We are committed to guiding children along this early musical path so they may achieve basic music competence, which is singing in tune and keeping accurate beat. After mastering these two fundamental elements in music a child will possess a strong foundation to successfully pursue later formal musical instruction or just enjoy music in a casual setting.

 

We believe early childhood is the optimum time to nurture musical ability. Research has shown an environment abundant in musical experiences will sustain the musical ability or intelligence that is present at birth. Tapping into the young child's natural curiosity for learning, we strive to provide a classroom setting rich in opportunities for musical play, discovery, and creativity.

 

We believe in parental involvement. Young children learn quickly through modeling. There are no better models than the important people surrounding the child. The enjoyment or love of music is passed on to a child from someone special in their life. The disposition to enjoy music cannot be learned from a book. It comes from joyful music-making. We encourage the adults to connect musically with their child.

 

We believe music should be a part of everyday life. Music is not just for a few talented individuals. Music can be enjoyed by all. Kids' MusicRound is helping families bring music back into daily living.

 

Kids' MusicRound believes in a developmentally appropriate approach to learning. Each child is allowed to explore, discover, and enjoy the activities at their own unique developmental level. Kids' Music Round recognizes the need for a stimulating learning environment. Children and families explore music through moving, singing, chanting rhythmic rhymes, playing simple rhythm instruments, and partaking in other fun-filled musical activities that fill the room with excitement. There is something for everyone. The varied activities complement the different learning styles of children. We ask that families enjoy the process and appreciate each developmental stage as it happens. The principles of Dr. Edwin Gordon's Music Learning Theory and Dalcroze Eurhythmics are woven within the program.

 

Kids' MusicRound believes in providing quality home materials to support the curriculum. We have taken a great deal of time to produce materials of the highest quality. Children learn best with repetition. With the materials and ideas generated from the classroom you will surely create your own musical excitement at home, in the car, and wherever you go. Our song collections are a refreshing combination of traditional music, world folk music, and original compositions.
